Wild about Otters

This past October we decided to take a drive in Brian's new truck up to the Adirondacks to get away for the day.  I found a natural history museum, The Wild Center in Tupper Lake that seemed like it would be nice to visit and since they have otters on display I knew Sabrina would enjoy it.  They had a lot of interesting displays but Sabrina was the most interested in the gift shop's stuffed animals and the live otters. She was really cute when she took all the otters off the display and lined them up in a row...I guess OCD runs in the family because she had to have them perfectly straight, all facing the same way.  Well of course this melted Brian's heart and Sabrina got to bring one of them home with us.

Here is a link to a video of Sabrina watching the otters at Otter falls.

A view of the mountains as we drove.

Wish we had been there a week or 2 earlier to catch the fall colors, all the leaves blew off the trees the week prior, but the drive was still beautiful!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

All bundled up and ready to go!

This is the first hat I made for her...came out pretty good I think :)
And she's off!

Making sure her balloon is ok.

Having fun!

Trying to hit the snowflakes with her balloon

Look Sabrina...check out the snowflakes

Catching a snowflake or two

Its snowing!

She's not fond of the snowflakes hitting her in the face.

Today we were really excited to let Sabrina play in the first snowfall of the season. Though she was in snow when she was just a month old, today was the first time she got to play in the snowfall. Luckily we just got back from shopping, hence the balloon in her hand, when the snowfall began & we headed straight outside. I'm glad she finally found a pair of boots that she likes to wear and that the first hat I made for her fits, they both will come in handy this winter.
