Outdoor fun

There was a break in the weather today so we bundled up and headed out to the playground.   It was nice to get out of the house and get some fresh air.  We had a slushy ice mixture of snow on the ground but none of us seemed to mind it at all.  It was great to see Sabrina having fun outside again.  

Brian helped Sabrina with her first snowball.  She loves to throw things around the house all the time so of course throwing a snowball came natural to her...even with her oversized mittens.

Which was probably a good thing because we came across a couple of the neighborhood deer who stood around to check us out.

 We're expecting more snow tonight and tomorrow so hopefully we can head outdoors again tomorrow and play in some fresh powder.

Making the most of the mild winter

Well the wether has been mild since we got back from Florida.  I'm still waiting on some serious snow because the current weather is not much fun.  It's basically been wet & grey. I would prefer sunny & warm or cool & white but nope we have wet & grey.  We did have a nice snow come through a week or so ago so we packed up the sled & took Sabrina to the sledding hill.  She wasn't a fan at first but as long as I rode with her she seemed to not mind to much.  We only lasted a half hour or so since none of us had cold weather gear on.  Since then we've bought all the right gear now we're just waiting on the snow...

But once she did it she loved it...and demanded to GO!

We made another batch of cookies this week. Oatmeal Raisin this time. Sabrina loves to hep me in the kitchen.   

Brian & I got a chance to get out for a bit last Saturday.  We headed to Dry Hill to snowboard.  We're still trying to get a hang of it. It's been 10 years since I've done it & its a new sport for Brian.  This was the only photo I got because the battery died as soon as it was taken.  Note to self...charge the battery before going on an adventure. 

Enjoying the Florida Sunshine

We had so much fun ringing in the new year in Florida.  Sabrina loved visiting with her Grandmas & Grandpa, and all her Florida friends.

It was especially great to get our toes back in the sand.  There were a few days that the weather didn't cooperate with our vacation plans but those days we stayed indoors and had some quality time with the family.

I really wish we had more time to see everyone and do more, but since we didn't I guess we will just have to return sometime soon. That's the beauty of being able to call a place like Treasure Island home, return visits are always on the calendar.
